The path wasn't always smooth. Kaarin faced her share of setbacks, including rejections that almost made her question her path. However, these experiences taught her resilience and the power of persistence.

​College was disappointing. I made great strides in my creativity, but I had to leave that institution. I made my way to the big city to try working full-time at SOMETHING that would pay better than the short, part-time gigs I could get as a student."

Determined not to be defeated, Kaarin went back to school and got her degree in Business. She also got her certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Armed with more knowledge, she got a job working in Silicon Valley as a technical and marketing writer. 

"I never imagined myself as a technical writer, or a journalist. But when I got my first job in Silicon Valley, I found myself thoroughly impassioned with new technologies. Sometimes opportunity beacons and we don't know if it fits until we jump in. Sometimes saying YES takes a leap of faith."

A pivotal moment came when Kaarin realized her passion was to write non-fiction books about Spirituality.

"I wanted to be a writer that had more of an individual impact. I tried my hand at fiction. One short story won a national award, so I knew my talent was applicable to more than just technology. Finally, I turned to my passion. (Isn't that what all the mentors say? Write to your passion?) And finally, the doors of my life opened up and I was writing in the field of Spirituality." 

Kaarin delved into writing with fervor, continuing to seek knowledge from mentors and honing her skills. This period of growth was instrumental in developing her comprehensive approach to writing and publishing. To help others achieve their writing dreams. This revelation redirected her focus and catalyzed the creation of "Writer Alchemy."
